The Laboratory performs the following tests in the scope of
thermal insulation materials and preinsulated bonded pipe systems
for building equipment and industrial installations:
Laboratory testing program for thermal insulation products in buildings:
- determination of thermal conductivity;
- determination of dimensions and shapes;
- determination of dimensional stability;
- determination of compressive stress;
- determination of water absorption;
- determination of deformation under specified compressive load.
Laboratory testing program for factory made insulation of pipes includes:
- determination of heat flow properties;
- determination of dimensions and shapes;
- determination of density;
- determination of water absorption;
- determination of water vapour diffusion resistance.
Laboratory testing program for components of preinsulated bonded
pipe systems includes:
- determination of cell structure for plastic rigid foam insulation;
- determination of water absorption by polyurethane rigid foam in higher temperature;
- determination of foam density;
- determination of geometric parameters of pipe assembly consisting of
a steel service pipe, thermal polyurethane insulation and polyethylene pipe casing;
- determination of thermal conductivity of pipe assembly.
The Laboratory possesses the equipment to perform tests required for
determination of properties of thermal insulation products for building
equipment and industrial installations in accordance with guidelines
of the European Union.
